Fore!
Scene opens with a recording or someone speaking from offstage "Next on the first tee the Reynolds foursome followed by a six minute call for the Smith twosome joined by the Jones twosome."
Dave: What a gorgeous Sunday Morning!
John: Day's like today were made for Golf!
Andy: Its Sunday and today is the day of rest.
Doug: So we should be in church on Sunday.
Dave: What a gorgeous Sunday Morning!
John: Day's like today were made for Golf!
Andy: I think I'm experiencing Deja Vu.
Doug: You know its important we worship together.
Dave: But its such a gorgeous day we should be outside, experiencing God's beautiful
creation, he would understand.
Andy: Would he?
John: Couldn't we just worship on our own.
Andy: We could.
Doug: Yes we should, but its important that we worship together as well.
Dave: A strength in numbers sort of thing?
Doug: Exactly!
John: We could worship on the back nine when we can view the splendid mountain vista
that God created, and our sub par scores.
Andy: I don't think that's what he had in mind. What did you mean strength in numbers?
Doug : Well we have to be strong in the Lord. Think of us as the heard of antelope on
The Nature of Things , or Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, and think of the
Devil as that Lion chasing down the week lone antelope. It's too easy to become
that antelope if we don't stick together.
Dave: What a gorgeous Sunday Morning!
John: Day's like today were made for Golf!
Andy: Exactly, but Sundays are the Lord's Day.
(Andy places his fake ball on the tee and after Doug's last line strikes it firmly)
Doug: Time to worship together in church.
Dave: So that's why you have us Golfing here in church.
Doug: You got it.
John: Fore!
All for characters now exit the stage area as if off in search of their golf balls.
